We will implement another project in Kaunas – we will reconstruct the railway crossing on Rokeliai Street
In Kaunas, as part of the Rail Baltica project, the railway level crossing on Rokeliai Street will be removed and replaced with a road tunnel. LTG Infra carried out a tender for design and construction works and signed a contract with the winning company, UAB Tilsta. The contract value amounts to EUR 13.9 million, including VAT.
“We are happy to contribute to the implementation of the strategically important Rail Baltica project. The reconstruction of the railway crossing on Rokeliai Street is just one of the parts of this huge project we are working on. Here, our team will be responsible for both the design and the contract work itself. Although the crossing project is not particularly large in scope, it is technically quite complex – due to the very limited territory and the adjacent residential houses, we must find engineering solutions that allow us to use the area efficiently and not interfere with the boundaries of the residents’ plots. However, the experience of building a similar object in Rudamina shows that our team knows how to solve various challenges. Therefore, we have no doubt that the accumulated competencies will allow all processes to be implemented smoothly and on time, and the final result – a modern, two-level crossing – will substantially increase safety for both drivers and pedestrians,” says Eduardas Grinaveckas, CEO of UAB Tilsta.
